It is a cut throat competition that drives the tablet market with each manufacturer trying to offer better, smaller, more feature packed products.
With the brouhaha over the iPad just about dying down we have another tablet presentation from Panasonic; the Toughbook C1 convertible tablet which has a primary focus on the health care system.
Greg Davidson, healthcare senior business development manager at Panasonic Computer solutions was quoted as having said that this offering from Panasonic addresses all the issues that tablets have hitherto had for their conversion to health care use.
He claims that it is designed with healthcare workers in mind and with their inputs to address their needs. This product, it is claimed will address issues such as (light) weight, long battery life (as much as 10 hours it is claimed) and ergonomic tablet design.
The screen is able to rotate to tablet mode as is shown in the picture, it has an ergonomic stand, as well as dome hand support system for increased user comfort it is claimed, since this gives a natural tilt to the keyboard.
It also has built in Wi – fi and Bluetooth along with optional mobile broadband technology apart from other possible modules.
