How To Figure Out If You Are Sitting Correctly At Your Desk?

To determine if you are working in the best possible conditions you need to consider different factors.
Firstly is finding the correct posture, which can be determined by starting at the top of your body and working downwards.
Overall your body should be straight with the limbs near and the thighs parallel to the floor.
There should be no need to bend or twist while performing your job or indulging in your favorite pastime. The shoulders should be nice and relaxed and the arms in a line with your torso.
Hands and wrists should also be straight and the feet must be either supported by a solid rest or resting flat on the floor.
A good ergonomic chair will actually help you to maintain this correct position. Remember the actual part that your bottom rests on needs to be the right size as well.
It is well worth taking the time to think about the different accessories that you use and making sure they are positioned within easy reach. Your seating position could be perfect but a certain movement that you make with regularity may negate it completely.
Make sure you have plenty of room for your legs under the desk or workstation and check that you don’t have to over reach when using the keyboard. As you look at the computer screen you should not have to raise or lower your head only your eyes should ideally have to move.
It sounds basic but if there is a reflection from either the sun or other source, at a certain time of the day, either make adjustments or get an anti-glare screen. The latter are relatively cheap and easy to install.
