Though the Yoga is of ancient times probably never envisaged what a lot of people were going to be stuck behind a computer screen for long hours each day, they had thought of a way to reduce eye stress that makes an extremely effective way to reduce eye stress among computer users:
- Fix your gaze about 10 meters away and gaze steadily at a fixed spot for a duration without blinking your eyes. The gaze should be steady and unwavering.
- Thereafter blink your eyes quickly and repeatedly for a minute or so.
- Raise your index finger, hold out your arm at arm’s length and then slowly bring your finger close to your face while keeping your gaze fixed upon the finger. Then equally slowly move the arm away from your face while keeping your gaze still fixed on the finger.
- Now without moving the head at all and only moving the eyeballs, move your arm to the side with your gaze still fixed on your finger. Take it as far as you can without moving your head and while the finger is still in sight. Do this either side of the body.
- Rotate the eyes in a circular movement both clock wise and anti clockwise.
