Balancing Health And PC Work

It is only at the workplace that you get the essentials for survival. So, in all rightfulness, the workplace needs you to be at your potential best.

And being paid for your job, it is the least that you can do in return. But that is a contrast of speech.

It is as true as ‘The Sun rises in the east’ when one says that you must play to be a good worker.

The veritable meaning is you should be as much concerned about your refreshments and health, as you should in your work.

The balance is very delicate and has to be adeptly maintained at all costs. And when your work entails you to in front of a PC, there is all the more need for that balance to be maintained.

The PC, even if well equipped, boasting enviable speed, adequately lighted and standing true to all ergonomical or body needs is a machine and our body is not naturally crafted to spend hours in front.

It is a very mechanical and artificial job, and surely takes quite a lot of creativity away. So, those of you, who are in the said position, have your task cut out.

The body should go through the doctor’s scanner at frequent periods and kept free from the Carpal Tunnel Syndromes (CTS), Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI) and other musculoskeletal disorders.

You should take good time off your busy schedule to donate to them and be fresh. The body of an organism is an object of prayer. It is your duty to keep it in the premium state.

The possible ways of staying fit and very much alive are more than one.

  • For starters, keeping company with good friends who understand you and take good care of you in case you get depressed is a good way to be in high spirits. The gift of friendship sails us through thick and thin.
  • In case you are married and have newborns, you do not need anything as a stress-buster. One look at the ethereal face and all your fatigue blow out in idle wind.
  • It is your rampant need to go on a substantial holiday, in the country or abroad at least once in a year. This should come even at the sake of bypassing your professional commitments.
  • Take a surprise day off to make your spouse happy. It might raise a few eyebrows but it has a decent positive note. It keeps you from feeling monotonous.
  • Do not keep anything secret from your better half. Things you keep a secret from your spouse gets stuck on your conscience and stays there.

Having done them, there are also a few things you should do while working. The mind should be kept at a good level of concentration.

There should be a resolution to get the work in hand done. The feeling of having completed a job is singular. Go some extra distance to keep your boss happy. He should feel that you are indispensable.

Treat work as a pilgrimage. Go on it.
